To follow up, it seems that when I re-publish the website, it works only once, the data gets carried to further screens. However, all subsequent executions of the website fails to populate the data.

Are you running FP 2003? Also, is your website on a Windows 2003 server?

This is great, but I still have 2 questions

1. I'm running ito the same problem when I run on my own computer, which is Windows XP

2. The ISP is running Windows 2003, but I'm not the administrator, how can I implement these changes?

  1. It might be that your FrontPage 2002 is still re-writing the global.asa connection string still.
  2. Well you just have to make sure that your host enables parent paths, sets up a DSN (System Data source) and points it to the shop.mdb. That's all they have to do.

Well, I implemented the changes on my own server and website, and now I have a new problem. When I click on "add to cart" to buy an item, the VIEW1.asp page comes up with an error message "Sorry, you have no items in your shopping cart!"

Why am I getting this?

At the present time, I cannot add item to the shopping cart on my personal server. According to the documentation I found in the knowledga base, it is due to permissions not being set up properly on the server. I began getting this error AFTER I implemented the changes you suggested to resolve my other problem. I am totally lost, I need help.
Thanks
Les
