We're using Sales cart Pro: an customer entered in an order (we see it in the Abandonded order report) and claims to have done everything correctly... the confirming email we received (order to be processed) has blank entries in all fields... ever heard of this problem? She tried it three times and we received three different blank emails

Hi Jim,
This happens to me as well. We are not sure how to fix this either. Any suggestions are appreciated. Beth |

I've not heard of this. The only time a blank email comes through is when you go directly to /cgi-bin/receipt2.asp.

after talking to a customer who had the same issue placing an order, we were able to duplicate the blank field e-mails. She was adding items to the cart, using the browsers back button to leave the site, then using the forward button or history to go back to the shopping cart later and checkout. The items remained on her screen in the cart, but once she left the site, the order was gone. The same issue happened when she bookmarked the site. Thank goodness for the impulse shoppers! -d

Blank order are usualy caused by someone using their back button during the checkout process. I have recently been plagued with more blank orders than normal and have found it is people using a Macintosh computer and the Safari browser which seems to keep their shipping and billing info but their shopping carts arive empty. More specificaly it looks like ( Mozilla/5.0 {Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en} AppleWebKit/312.8[KHTML, like Gecko] Safari/312.6)is there a fix I'm not aware of?

You can not really do this anymore in the most recent version of SalesCart PRO 5. If you leave the checkout process, it will force you to start it completely over.
