How do I get a 'localhost'?
When I try to create my web at 'localhost' I get a message -could not find a web server on port 80-.
I must be missing something.
I have went ahead and started a site disk based, but, I don't think this will work well.

Have you installed IIS yet? http://localhost will only work when you have IIS installed and configured properly.

sorry.. I don't know a lot about this.

I haven't, but, it looks like I will need to upgrade to Windows xp professional to get the IIS. From what I have found, I can't get it with Windows XP Home.

unless I am mistaken. thanks for putting me on the right path.

That's exactly right. Windows XP home edition doesn't have IIS but the PRO version does. It's not necessity but a nice option.
