Hi, when some of my customers are trying to add a product to the shopping cart they receive this error:
HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found. Internet Information Services (IIS) I receive a copy of the following email every time this happens. This is an automated response sent from SalesCart Security Error: The referring URL could not be determined due to security measures implemented on the computer. To prevent this in the future, include path.asp in all your product pages or disable the checkpost feature by opening checkpost.asp in the cgi-bin folder and setting emailErr to 3. Order Number: Item Number: Posted Price: 11.95 Actual Price: 0 Posting URL: ../default.htm Browser: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322) Server: teasemetoys.com What exactly should be done to correct this to allow my customers easy shopping again. Thanks Jenny |

Have you been able to re-produce the issue? When they see the error page, what does the address bar in their web browser display?

Hi,
Yes, I have been able to reproduce the issue. The same thing is happening on my personal computer when my Norton Internet Security is enabled. I receive the error as stated above and the address in the web browser shows : http://www.teasemetoys.com/default.htm. If I hit the back button by my address bar, it backs up to the page I was ordering from no problem. It shows nothing is in the cart and then when I view the cart it shows the item I was trying to add. If I disable the Norton I have no problem with any of this. The site works as it should. Any ideas? Thanks Jenny |

Sounds like the good old checkpost.as
Open /cgi-bin/checkpost.asp and do a search for the file named default.htm (in the code of course), when you find it, change it to your own homepage name and/or your lobby file name. I believe there are two instances of the file name so you'll want to make sure that you search for it through the entire file. |
