I am running SalesCart SQL v5 with shipping plug-in. I ran the index.asp setup program, set my shipping preferences (after setting file permission) and tried running a test order. After I type in my customer info and press continue checkout, instead of bringing me to the normal shipping info page, it redirects me to a SalesCart Shipping User Agreement page. I accept and register but still can't get to the normal shipping info page.
Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? PS - I searched the knowledge base and unable to fine info on this. If this is talked about then I apologize...and please send me link. Thanks! |

You'll need to register the shipping plug-in once with your serial number and website information. That is only done with you run the plug-in for the first time on your website.
Also, did you make sure that your CGI-BIN directory has WRITE permissions? If not, that should be the first thing you should fix. |

Opps. Didn't see that in any docs but I could have missed it. I'll give it a try. I registered once when I was redirected to SalesCart's website but it seems to keep redirecting me. This may make sense if SalesCart is trying to update a local file and can't after initial registration. I work in and test on a sub-domain (http://backup.njtackle.com) before uploading to my main site (http://www.njtackle.com). This shouldn't effect anything, should it? |

PS - From a security stand point, is this safe? |

That means you'll need to register it twice. It's based on the URL so if you change from backup.njtackle.com to njtackle.com, then you'll need to re-register. |

IUSR needs to have write permissions so your ASP pages can make modifications to other files. No security issues as long as you have your server up-to-date, patched and secured.
