Topic: Importing existing webPosted: August/26/04 at 6:40pm |

Hi,
I recently had a virus on my computer which wiped out some of my main files including my local copy of my website. I am running XP with front page 2000, salescart pro 3.0 on a windows 2003 server and need to import my existing web back onto my personal computer. Can anyone please recommend the best way to import my live site back onto my computer so that it is integrated with salescart pro so that i can make modifications to my salescart components again. Thanks, Jenny |

Jenny,
If your site is hosted on a server that supports frontpage extensions you can simply publish your site back onto your computer. Open your site in frontpage- http://yourwebsitenamehere.com. This will log you onto your server withing the Frontpage environment. Then, just hit publish site and set the destination as a directory on your hard disk. I've done this before and it works fine :) |

If you want to do a reverse publish, then take a look here: http://comcity.com/support/kb/KB-details.asp?key=5197
