Hello,

Does anyone know how to add different attributes to products when all of the products are in a Microsoft Access database and the site is dynamic? Thanks!

Are you running your own products database?

Yes, we do have our own products database. We have both the product management plug in and the order management plugin.

The database we have is based on the one provided in the user manual.

Thanks for your help!

Okay in the product management database (products.mdb) there is a table named options. It has the attributes structure.

There is a file named dynamic-includes.asp, which will actually display the dynamic includes from the database.

I'm still a little unclear on what your question is pertaining to though.

I looked at the database and saw the otions. Here is the scenario:

We are making a website and selling numerous kinds of chairs. Most of the chairs have color options, but not all of the chairs have the same options. We are showing the prices and chair information using the database (so it is easier to change prices). I just do not know how to let our customers pick what color chair they want and have it tie into the salescart add to cart bot.
