Thank you for your quick reply. I was a little lost as to whether you literally meant the "MASTER."
Onward and upward! Best regards, Kim Edited by Kim@shore |

You're not restoring it on the MASTER. You create a new database, then either restore the backup file or run the .SQL script via the Enterprise Manager query analyzer. The instructions for both methods are stored in the /SQL-Admin directory.
Needless to say, you have to have your host restore the database since you are on a shared server and they only have the proper permissions to do this. Edited by Techno Geek |

I am in the process of restoring the SalesCart SQL database to "Master" for SalesCartSQL.
The SalesCart manual states that I should restore the database using the Enterprise Manager in SQL by: " Navigating to SQL Server Database > Database > Master > " However, with a shared hosting platform, the "Master" database is a default SQL installed database with no permissions. Instead there is the "<LoginName>" database that I am given full permissions to. I am concerned about the possiblility of modifications I may have to make to SalesCart to have it functioning properly. In your experience, are there any changes I need to make to the DSN or the Client Network Utility (outside of the norm) to make sure that I do not experience any problems in the SalesCart Integration? Your help is genuinely appreciated. Thanks, Kim |
