I have noticed a problem using Pro and Real-Time USPS for Priority Mail...

If the Customer types a Zip+4 in the Shipping Information page (details1.asp), the call to USPS for Priority Mail fails with "invalid zip code".

I have taken the obvious quick solution of constraining the Zip input field to 5 characters but, my client wants to allow the Customer to enter Zip+4 for shipping purposes.

Surely someone has run into this difficulty before; solutions?

Thanks,

I don't think anyone has ever brought this up before. With USPS it's a little different because we basically code the plugins according to their documentations so it's a matter of finding out whether they accept the last 4 digits (I'm sure they will).

You may want to put this in as a feature request.
