Does salescart offer the option to use ccv (credit card verification) number? This is the 3-digit number on the back of your credit card .
If so, what document(s) are available to implement this?
Lately we have had a few fraudulent orders and heard this is a great way to stop them. Any other options or opinions?
Thanks.

SalesCart does support this feature. However, your credit card processing gateway has to as well (most will). You must have the the most recent credit card bridge for your gateway to take advantage of the CCV.

Will
Thanks for the quick response.
Does Salescart have any documentation on 'the most recent credit card bridge' which is what version?
We are using authorize.net as our gateway and will look into this.
Thanks again for the quick response.

There isn't a version on the credit card bridges. When you purchase the upgrade, we send you the latest and greatest.

We really need your help and info on how to implement this into our system. What do I need to do to identify what file I have and how to implement.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks.

I did find the following:
Note: If your version of the Wizard only provides the AuthorizeNet processing selection then you have a free version of the Transaction Processing Bridge that only supports the AuthorizeNet Gateway. This is the most frequently requested gateway. Visit http://www.salescart.com to obtained an updated full version or the Bridge.
It seems that AuthorizeNet is our only option so we have the free version.
Do we need to upgrade? Still searching for the document on this.
Thanks.

Made some progress. Contacted authorize.net (which offered a lot more support) and said we need to move to Transaction Version 3.1. Did this and still all orders declined. Looking at CTp.asp there is a line of code in Function getPost1 that says:
AuthNet = AuthNet & "&x_Version="3.0"
It almost seems like this may need to be changed.
We will post back our findings.
Some concerns I have is reading a document from Authorize.net that says this Card Code should not be stored on any system outside of the credit card issuer.
Just an FYI, Salescart however does store this Card Code in your database along with all your credit card numbers. At least in our case the Card Code is stored an not removed. I may dig to see if on a successful transaction Salescart actually removes this value. Would be nice if Will responded on this critical issue.
Will post back our solution.

The forums is not meant for updating code. I've given you the solution to upgrade the plugin. What you are wanting to do is get your own code updated but we don't provide that level of support.
Saving the credit card and the CVV number is entirely up to you. We give you the facility to remove this at your own free will.
