What does it mean when you get the following error security alert message?
"Security Error: The posting page has duplicate part numbers"

How does one fix it?

Thanks!

It means you have more than one item on the same page with the same part number.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your response. I have checked the page several times and there are not multiple items.   Just the one.

I did originally create a product on the page earlier just trying to become familiar with the product, but I deleted it shortly thereafter and recreated the product. There is only one product listed on that page currently.
Is this a case where simply deleting the buttons does not remove the product in it's entirity?
If not, how do I remove a product in it's entirity?
Thanks!

Hello again Mike,
I just created a NEW product page and only put ONE product link on it and got the same error message that it has duplicate part numbers.

There could not possibly be duplicate on this page as I just created it this evening and did a mock order and still got the duplicate error message.

Need help!

Its not the shopping cart thats putting the duplicate part numbers on the page...its the person using the software that is putting the products on the page that is doing it!!!!!

Its not a problem with the software...its a problem with the user. The software does not read your mind for the part numbers...you type them in.

If this is giving you a headache, you can edit the shop1.php and remove the include for "checkpost.php". That is the routine that is checking for the duplicate part numbers. Its a security precaution to prevent someone from downloading a page and then changing the price and posting it to your website. If you have only a few products and would recognize a price change before you shipped the product, its not an issue. In addition, if someone changes the price of a product, they will be giving you some way for you to contact them...so its not like they will be able to get away with much except if your product is electronically delivered.
