Author: Encoder
Subject: Information Tabs on Product Pages
Posted: March/25/16 at 10:28am

Product pages currently display information tabs for Related, Description, Reviews, Manufacturer, Specification, and Tell Others. These tabs are displayed on all product pages, whether they are used or not. We (and I'm sure other merchants, as well) would find it helpful if we had the ability to select whether or not certain tabs are displayed. For example, we are the manufacturer of our products, so it would make for a cleaner product page if we could simply omit the Manufacturer tab rather than repeat the same information on every product page. Another example would be the Specifications tab. This tab only allow us to provide weight and dimensions, but our products are highly technical and our customers expect detailed operating specifications. Providing a Specifications tab that doesn't give our customers the information they expect will only frustrate the customer. Again, it would be better if we could simply omit the tab and use a link on the Description tab to our customers to detailed specifications.

Ultimately, we would like the option to control display of all tabs with the exception of Description.
