In Expression 4, the entire architecture was redesigned. We intend to support Expression 4 based on demand and having to reengineer our product. Most customers are not upgrading to new versions of Expressions as quickly as Microsoft is releasing them. If there is little or no demand, we reserve the right to skip versions especially those where support would be difficult or impossible.

After reading more of the online articles I found that clicking on the add to cart link assigns an order ID. I got some advice to make the add to cart button a "no follow" link, but that would break everytime I save the page.

I have been unable to delete abandoned orders at this magnitude. I will time out after an hour even when I try to break it up some.

I am positive that my google mini server attacks it. I though I was getting bot attacked, but when I blocked that IP my google mini server quit caching my web pages. However the number quit climbing so high.

The header.aspx file was modified so that it strips out semicolons which can be used for SQL Injection attacks. If you customer uses a semi-colon in their data they put in the fields, this issue would happen.

Two ways to deal with this, valid your customers data using the built-in validation functionality and don't allow semi-colons. There is no reason to use a semi-colon in a shipping address and they are technical not supported by the post office. Or, remove this security feature by editing the file according to the KB. This increases your security risk though.

In fact, you have to get a KB to make 3rd party programs work. We advise you skip Expression 3 for now and stay with Expression 2. Expression 2 is very similar to FrontPage its just more stabe has more bug fixes.

SalesCart works much better in Expression because it works as an html component instead of a bot. Also the newer version of Microsoft Office allows the toolbar to work better. Older versions of SalesCart would on occassion stop working in the toolbar and have to be reinstalled. That problem was solved when Microsoft fixed their office integration architecture.

You just need to stay on top of your order manager and delete the "abandoned orders". The limit in the database may be an 8 bit integer but this can easily be changed to allow the number to keep going up.

Otherwise, you would need to contact Google and find out why the robots are going where you are telling them they can't go. If you have disallowed cgi-bin, they would not be able to add orders. Perhaps you have some other culprit besides the search engines. Are you sure they are the culprit?
