Most likely the permission on your shopping cart database is not correct.

This is what happens when the IUSR has no "delete" permission to the shopping cart folder. Items are added but can never be deleted or changed and typically the order number as well is null. There is a KB on this. It sounds like you have no values being passed from the SalesCart bot. Are you using a static or dynamic page?

An actualy product line is added to the existing products, but the description says "none" and the price is $0. Do you mean that nothing is going to the cart when you add to cart? the link on the cartcontents.aspx page that points to ../cgi-bin/shop1.aspx, adds a null product to the product list on view1.aspx.
