Running .NET when we make a products and salescart SQL database connection should the GLOBAL.ASAX or the GLOBAL.ASA file be updated.

The GLOBAL.ASA file seems to have the correct DSN and DRIVER specified, yet we get the following error:

Could not open data connection. Error:
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
The Invalid ConnectionString is defined as: DSN=products1;

The GLOBAL.ASAX file does not seem to be updated at all, ever.

We have also used KB 5483, did not help.
