Author: Andy
Subject: 222
Posted: November/03/04 at 3:20am

This is what I would do.

Set up a product link. Make an include page to go with it. The include page has more products and links on it. I would delay these products so that clicking them would not take you straight to the cart page.

I have done something like this on a section of products. The initial product link had a different button which says "done" rather than buy now. This puts the user in the mindset that whilst he/ she is clicking products in the include without the cart screen coming up after each click this is normal and how this section of the site works.

As for including cart contents and totals I would just strip down a standard product ASP page- one with the salescart cart info box at the bottom. I would then use the included content feature of frontpage to show the stripped down page which would only be showing cart data. You can use the include page anywhere you want. If you are using the latest frontpage you can setup a dynamic template with the include page embedded into it.

Hope this makes sense :)

Has anyone figured out a way to put like a include file on anysite and display like how many items and say a total is in their shopping cart?

Let me know if you have.

Thanks in advance.
